Composition Theory
Podcast
Like many creatives, I found myself in a strange, uncertain place when the world shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Studios closed. Film sets fell silent. The creative spaces where we used to gather were suddenly off-limits. But creativity? That didn’t go anywhere. If anything, it demanded a new outlet. For me, that outlet became Composition Theory.
I launched this music and film channel into a podcast in the middle of the pandemic not just to fill the silence, but to create a space where creativity could still breathe. A space where artists — filmmakers, actors, novelists, musicians, and creatives of all stripes — could share their stories, their struggles, and the beautiful, chaotic process behind what they do.
What Composition Theory Is All About
At its core, Composition Theory is a deep-dive into the minds of makers. Each episode features a conversation with a different artist — not just about what they’ve made, but how and why they make it.
We talk about process. We talk about purpose. We talk about the moments of doubt and the breakthroughs that follow. Whether it's an actor breaking down a performance, a novelist describing the birth of a story, or a music producer building a sound from scratch — the show pulls back the curtain on the composition behind the creation.
This podcast is for artists — and for anyone who’s ever felt the need to create something from nothing.
Who You’ll Hear From
I’m interested in talking to:
Actors with years in the industry or just starting out
Novelists building worlds from the page
Musicians and producers crafting emotion out of sound
Filmmakers with stories behind the lens
Writers, visual artists, designers, directors, poets — anyone who uses their imagination to make something new
If it’s creative, expressive, and soulful, it belongs here.
Why It Still Matters
Composition Theory began as a personal project — something to keep me grounded in a moment of global chaos. But over time, it’s become a platform for connection, discovery, and inspiration. My hope is that by sharing these honest, behind-the-scenes conversations, we can encourage more people to keep going, keep experimenting, and keep creating.
We don’t just need art — we need artists to keep going. Especially now.
